Kapliczka: prayers for matriarchs

Option to engrave her name in the blade - requires a clear signature either scanned or mailed.
They are collectively named Kapliczka, afterthe small wayside shrines of Poland from where my great grandparents emigrated in the early 1900s. These small structures are often placed at significant points at the outskirts of towns, at crossroads both physical and spiritual, to welcome people to prayer. This name came naturally as prayer on the edge of the knife. In nature, as in fairytales, as in memories, a singular object is often representative of or indicates the present of a greater network of ideas or beings, just as a singular mushroom is indicative of the mycelium underneath, kapliczka are indicative of a moment and place someone felt the impulse to mark with a place to connect with god, and this is exactly what the making of these knives was for me in my own life, and am blessed to share with you. The endeavor reminds me deeply of the widely referenced and respected work by Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes, Women Who Run With The Wolves, and her exploration through story telling of the wild nature inherent to womanhood that connects us with the Life/Death/Life cycle and intuition as a tool to be exercised by which we navigate the world.
