Gabriela Maj is a multimedia artist and DJ born in Grand Rapids, Michigan and based in New orleans. she works with sound, metal, and reclaimed audio gear to explore communication between women, social and ENVIRONMENTAL issues, and sonic landscapes. classically trained in ballet and with a background in geography and mutual aid, her practice reflects a sensitivity to systems, both human and ecological. her work is shaped by the ecosystems of her two homes and the experience of growing within them over time.

her sound is largely INFLUENCED by her natural environments, layering BIOPHILIC textures, rapturous momentum, and personal FIELD recordings into her sets. She is a founding member of new orleans based techno crew n*S*F*W, a collective focused on exalting the work of femme and queer people in techno.
